Although Lake Greenwood lies on the three counties of Laurens, Greenwood, and Newberry, the lake is owned by Greenwood county. Therefore, the Greenwood County Lake Mgmt Dept manages the entire lake. Lake Greenwood has an excellent bass and crappie fishery. It also offers a good population of striped bass, and the perfect place to catch them is below the dam.
